Winning the Lottery

In New York State, the lottery proceeds were supposed to go to education, and the schools, thats how they got gambling through.
People have tried to request of our people in Albany audits of where these billions each month actually goes, with full accounting by county and school system. They were threatened with their lives. Sheldon Silver wont give an answer, and now
Spitzer, is well, gone, and we have a smart but blind man running things. I would like to see, as a citizen, a full lottery accounting of where the money comes in and where it goes, including administrive costs and actual payouts to the schools we were promised.

Oh Goldielocks............

NYS has some of the best lottery efficiency of the states with a lottery (i.e. highest percentage of money goes out as winnings and lowest admin. costs.)

In the old days of lottery "cheating" the lottery balls were placed in the freezer to make them cold / denser. They'd really drop low and fast in the "mixer" (contrary to logic, for most men,but I digress).

So the next time you see an auditor from KPMG onsite, just know she is there to ensure the balls are not too cold,or too hot,but jsut right.

How I know all of this, I can't tell you or one may have to gag and bind and handcuff and torture me. HMMMMMMMMMM On second thought, Yoohoo.........I have a story to tell.

Here in Canada there are no taxes on lottery or gambling winnings. You get the full lump sum tax free.
