Nice machines. I am amazed at how wonderfully the newer Royals clean. Much easier to push, too. I just found a 996 in great shape. My old commercial model is no match for it. Have fun!

Dream vac number one was the Kirby Dual Sanitronic 50 (my mom and I grew with one, that one is still running without any repairs!) and I wanted one of my own. The 3rd has yet to be unveiled!

i remember RAVING bout the kenmore/sebo/windsor. to an old friend of mine. i got him the floor model after sears discontinued it. its very DURABLE and maintenance free, but a lousy carpet cleaner. David

Nice sturdy machines those sebos, but absolutely CRAPTACULAR as carpet cleaners...
you'd get more dirt off your floor with a shovel!

From my experiance, the ones that do a bad cleaning job have the automatic height adjustment. The models with the manual adjustment, like the Versamatic do very well.

Beautiful collection of machines-I have some of those in my collection-all pictured are good performers.Yes-I have a Sebo-its technology is interesting-but ANY of my direct air cleaners will outclean it.Its sort of fun to use though-get it out now and then for a spin.
