"We are getting ready to do a complete kitchen remodel in our 1929 home. In 1959/60 the folks who had the home built completely gutted the 1929 kitchen, opened up a butler's pantry to enlarge the kitchen, and installed some of the most modern appliances of the time. These include 2 Revco refrigerator units, a Revco freezer unit, a Hotpoint push-button stove, and 2 GE oven units. As the third owners of the home, we've enjoyed the kitchen for the past 7 years and all of the enthusiasm that visitors have expressed for the vintage appliances. But my wife is ready for a kitchen which better suits her cooking interests and a kitchen which is more appropriate to the age/style of the home.
Despite their age and some minor cosmetic issues they all work except for the broiler element in the lower oven and a couple of the stove settings. Is there anyone in the northeast Indiana area interested in purchasing all 6 of the above-mentioned appliances for a vintage renovation or for parting them out? I'm thinking $1,500 for the lot and I'll even throw in the dishwasher and kitchen sink for free. If anyone is seriously interested in any of the custom 1960 cabinetry, let me know, I was going to use some of it as storage in the basement and garage but would prefer to sell it if anyone has a use for it. If there's anyone with a serious interest in purchasing who wants to come see the kitchen while the appliances are still hooked up and running and who can realistically haul them away before the reno begins, please send me a pm."
