World Pool and Stanley Still

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Ha! It's been bid on....

I'm just TOTALLY gobsmacked by people's vocabulary *skills*, spelling, etc. And somebody PLEASE figure out the difference between STEEL and STEAL. Nitpicky of me, I know....but it really doesn't take a whole lot of effort to be accurate and look somewhat intelligent when you're trying to sell something.

Maybe they just didn't notice that the auto-correct feature on their phone or computer replaced some words that they misspelled. At least, they are able to upload pictures of the actual thing they sell! There are so many ads with no pictures and an unclear description! Recently, have seen 3 ads with pictures showing things I posted on internet! At least, two of them stated that the pictures were of similar machines!

I hate when I see something like: "Older dryer, works, green color $25".

And of course, there's no brand name or picture!
You can imagine it's anything you'd like it to be but chances are it's not!

I think the seller meant the GE is located at Stanley's Still. Isnt that a bar out on US-60 outside of Mesa? LOL

well, for one thing, there is a clear clue to avoid the thought of even considering going to look at them.....

you might be paddling right into 'Deliverance Country'!!!.....'you sure have a real purdy mouth!'...

don't say we didn't warn you!....

There are many schools of thought although spelling is either correct or incorrect. Being a poor speller, I prescribe to "it's only an error if the person reading it doesn't understand what is being said." When I see a Craigslist ad for "rod iron" furniture I know what the seller means. Like spelling, grammer and enunciation are things many people have difficulty with. Frankly, I could listen to someone speak for hours and mispronounce every other word as opposed to hearing many young people talk where 75% of the words they use are four-letter ones. As far as correcting all those spelling errors, a good way to hurt someone's feelings is to make them feel stupid.
