Hey everyone,
This washer/dryer combo is for sale locally. From the condition in the pics does this look worth buying for $100 or should I walk on?

These are unique machines and quite frankly, pretty rare. It's my understanding they can be a handful to restore, and are not very reliable, but for $100 I would certainly get it.  John (Combo52) can certainly tell you all about them.

Looks like a 1964 or 1965.  I used to have a 1961.  Find out if they know if it worked or not and how long it's been sitting.

It's a condensing dryer and uses cold water while drying (about 30 gallons an hour).  Great splashy wash, does a great job washing, but has no suspension and spins about 225 rpm.   If you have any interest in W/D combos, I'd say grab it, especially of you can talk them down on the price.

Cool Machine, but unfortunately it has been stored in a very damp environment for a LONG time, all the pulleys are either uncoated steel or pot-metal in these machines and I am sure they are not in good condition.

I would probably go look at it if you are interested in the machine, if they will not come down in price take a 5/16" nut driver with you and take the back panel off [ only four screws ] and see what the condition of the metal parts are etc.
