Sharpest eyes here noticed that there are two colors, right? Top is whiter than front panel or is it just the photo? Details forthcoming, maybe?

That's because the top is porcelain enamel which never fades/yellows and the cabinet is painted.

It looks like it is probably gas, there are very few minor repairs on these cool machines, LOL.

 

The gas versions usually suffered more rust problems than the electric models did. { like a gas range compared to an electric range ]
