I took this pic of my re-done storage trailer back on July 4th weekend. I had taken every machine off, put them on the warehouse floor, kept some off, and reorganized. This little trailer has been on the side of our warehouse until somebody recently decided within the last month to help themselves, I presume for scrap value. EVERYTHING but some agitators is gone.
I have had a mixed set of feelings from this - some of these machines were bothering me because I knew they were junk, I didn't want to deal with them, but didn't have the heart to toss them out. Others though had homes awaiting. It's just a lesson learned I guess, but I thought I'd share the loss in a forum that would understand.
Gone are:
Two older POS dryers (no biggie)
Two white 1965 Lady Ks, both of which were to go to appreciative homes
A 1966 Lady K which was a nice machine
A 1972 Lady K which was to become Kevin's
A 1965 Avocado Kenmore 800 (it was rough)
A 1967 Kenmore low silouette in Avocado (belonged in the dump)
2 1979 Kenmore 500s - I am SORRY James! One was VERY nice
A 1972 Kenmore 60 carcass that I was hoping to restore
A 1973 Kenmore 800 that Jason liked when photographed this year
3 1973 Kenmore plastic top clones, one I liked
A 1975 Kenmore plastic top
7 Whirlpools including a 1969 Imperial 70, a 1985 Imperial 70 and 5 misc. others.
I also had a few spare wash baskets, about 8 rebuildable transmissions, and who knows what else. I am mostly sorry for loosing the Lady Ks, one of the 1970 models, and one of the plastic top machines. I guess it wasn't meant to be that I'd be working on those washers!
At least I got about a dozen machines off that trailer earlier in the last couple years, including a 1964 Kenmore 70, a 61 Seventy w/porcelain cabinet, and a number of others. If those were still on there I'd be dangerous right now.
