i am off this weekend so i got up today and called about that g.e. mobile maid in toledo for $50.00.

the man still had it so i thought a little road trip would be fun. i hopped in the car and headed for toledo which is only about 3-4 hours away from cinti.

as you can see i bought it!

what was a big surprise

was what type of g.e. mobile maid it was! i was thinkin it would be a mid 60's spray arm machine like the one i already have and the one i have waiting for me to pick up in buffalo new york that i bought for a buck on e bay last year.

the man i bought it from

was super nice and was selling it for a neighbor who had kept the dishwasher in a summer cottage on middle bass island in lake erie.

so the dishwasher was hardly used he told me and it still ran and did not leak.

so i left here at 1 oclock today

and was back home by 9 p.m. tonite unloading this beautiful old dishwasher!

i put it in the living room where all the rollermatics are and started to photograph and check it out.

fill solonoid

i noticed the inlet hose was not tight on the solonoid valve. someone has obviously loosened it to drain the water out for winter storage in that unheated island summer cottage!

this leads me to believe the machine was well taken care of!

i noticed they also added a large washer on the left side screw holding the valve to the cabinet. i'm guessing they did this to help align the solonoid valve for a splash free squirting of water into the filling chanber that empties into the tub. i don't see any other reason for this washer.
