Clearly I am a fridge-geek. So this find really turns my crank. And if it's as nice as it looks, the $175 asking price is not too shabby

It IS more like a 57...The compressor appears to be a Seeger rotary...last used in 57.

It looks closer to '57 than '62. By '62 the Coldspots were already sporting the "sheer" look and the rounded corners were long gone. It could even be a Seeger-made machine. By '62 Whirlpool was making Coldspots for Sears.
That's a very nice fridge, even though it's not frost free. Worth the price for the shape it's in. I'm a fridge geek too, and if I didn't already have my '57 GE Combination and that fridge was near me, I'd be very tempted.

I would agree on it being a '57 also....due to my mom having had a '56 and the one for sale has really similar styling cues. I am SO out of space....it's killing me not to go over there and buy this tomorrow.

In and out....
CANNOT apply to fridges. HAHAH! Never going to part with my Custom Imperial. And that's what I'd have to do to justify the Coldspot. It is so, so , sooooo very tempting to grab that up, isn't it??
