Not sure if anyone could help, just got a call from my sister who has a WP gold electric self cleaning double oven, I'm guessing is 10-15 years old. She used the self cleaning mode, it worked for an hr then stopped, no power, door still locked went to the breaker shut that off for 5 mins still seems to have no power, no display and the door is still locked. She does not bake much and been in the house for a couple years, this is the first time she used the self cleaning mode and this happened. Will the door unlock after cooling down ??? will it re-set after it cools down, or did it fry everything from the intense heat ??? She is in Maryland and I'm in NY so I just know what I was told over the phone, I know how to repair most things on a stove, but don't know a thing about this type of oven Not being there makes it hard to trouble shoot, has anyone else had this problem with these ovens in the self cleaning mode ??? I did see there is a class action lawsuit here in New York on KA and WP self cleaning ovens after 2008, which fried the control panel from the intense self cleaning heat,my guess is that's what happened but maybe someone out there may know more about this thanks for the help Jim

Dead Self-Cleaning WP Wall Oven.

There are two Thermal Fuses in these ovens, one will kill all power to the control the other will kill power to the ovens heaters, one or both may have opened during the clean cycle. WP-KA has had problems with this, there are several reasons why this happens and several ways to fix this problem.

Jim you can call me for details, where does your sister live in Maryland ?.
