Anybody seen one of these? Neat idea, not so good reviews.

A Bosch Rip-Off
When half of the reviews are essentially negative, that must mean something.
'Wolfie' is merely copying the Bosch Universal mixer. And based on the impossibly-low price, I have to presume - in looks only. Suspect it has little chance of performing well or giving any sort of long life, that the Bosch, or the KitchenAid for that matter, have proven to do over the many years of their availability. With its ridiculously-small Speed & Timer buttons, it looks like a nightmare merely to set-up the operating parameters - or simply shut it off. Incredibly stupid design - but clearly cheap to manufacture.
There's a lot to recommend the design of the Bosch; but as with most things in life worth owning: You get what you pay for. One needs to buy the real deal; not some flimsy copycat machine. Purchasing this type of "design", merely perpetuates the race to the bottom.

It looks like a slightly modified version of the NutriMill Artiste that Amy unboxed and tested a little while ago.
I love my Bosch, but I'm not in a hurry to get smaller copy (NutriMill) or a copy of a copy (Wolfgang Puck).

Those two video reviews that were posted.....
I don't care for her and her husbands reviews at all. They don't know anything about cooking methods, or terms etc, and they are just generally unversed in how they do things. I realize that not everyone is a professional, and they are the general public whom buys these products. But if you feel you have enough direction to do online reviews, then have that direction, and know a little bit about what you are doing. A little knowledge goes a long way.

I think the channel title ("Amy learns to cook") is enough of a descriptor, and tells you what to expect.
I find that sometimes I learn something from them, at the very least what not to do...

I offered the videos "as is", because I've seen them recently and didn't bother to look for other people's reviews, and I think I won't say more because I feel like I've criticized them enough already during the years here, particularly the fact that she seems to do rather well talking about KitchenAid mixers, for example, but makes some mistakes that make me go "what's going on there?" because her videos with the Bosch Universal, Universal Plus and Electrolux Assistent (Ankarsrum) left a lot to be desired, she failed to read the user guides at the very least.
On the other hand, trying to see the positive, well, if one is more like her than more like me, maybe the reviews help such people to buy or avoid things she likes or dislikes. There are way too many differences between her style and my style, to begin with, nearly anyone can cook better than I do, on the other hand, I figured if *I* could make things work, I would expect *anyone* who has more experience in the kitchen than I do to be able to make it work, but sometimes that is so not true it's scary.

I have only used a mixer of this style once, years ago. It was a built in Nutone, we made a (boxed) angel food cake, it was a lot of fun and I do remember it being one of the highest and lightest boxed angel cakes I'd ever seen.
Amy and Eric are entertaining, much in the same way Ron Popeil, etc. were in their time. Much of their current video offerings are more akin to home-shopping and a hoarder's-how-to than actual cooking knowledge. She must slowly be filling her house with kitchenware and cooking doo-dads, given to her "for review" by vendors who simply want to increase sales. The formula works because the boxes keep coming. She's an attorney, IIRC, so no dummy and has figured out how to get most of her collecting hobby for free. Someday Marie Kondo will pay her a visit, sending both of their ratings soaring.

Her last video revealed that she has reached the 100,000 subscriber list and she received a plaque from youtube so she must be doing something that people enjoy.

My comment was just my opnion...
That's all. I grew up in the food industry, my late father was a Executive Chef. I ate at $100.00 a plate restaurants for free growing up. Just how i'm minded when it comes to food, and preparation.
