Beginning on the front page of the Wednesday Personal Journal Section (and possibly available through a Google search) is an article about loading dishwashers and the fights and conflicts involved. We have discussed this here previously. They did have some money shots of racks and loading patterns as well as comments by industry people. What they did not say is that some people are totally spatially & mechanically challenged and could not figure out optimal loading to achieve greatest capacity and cleaning performance if their lives depended on it.

I was going to post this yesterday, but a colleague showed up at my desk with a work-related problem, of all things, and by the time we finished, it was time to leave. If you ever wanted proof that the dead can & do come back to life, stand in a corner near an exit, in a government office at quitting time.

They had a segment on this on Good Morning America today. It seems that in every household there is a debate going on about the proper way to load a dishwasher. What I got out of it was "glasses and plastics upper rack","plates and pots and pans lower rack" and utensils handles up so you don't cut yourself".

And don't prerinse your dishes. Enzyme detergents don't need it.

Nothing new our crowd here hasn't seen before.
