WT 960 Limited model???

I can remember not long after moving back to London from Scotland back in 2003 i brought a Hotpoint Ultima WT 960 in Silver & an almost matching Ultima Logic sensor Condenser TCM 65 also in silver of which I still own & works very well indeed. But I think it was either a brochure or in a shop that I saw a different looking WT Ultima washing machine. It was very minimal looking with just 2 buttons i think & a rather plain looking fascia.
Does anyone know anything about this model?? or indeed any pics?

HOTPOINT WT960

Does anyone have any info on what might have been a limited model of the WT960 Hotpoint washing machine??
perhaps back in 2003
I did put out a thread some time ago but with no response.
From what i can remember it was very minimal looking.

I take it you mean, a Hotpoint machine with just a (White) display, no dial, programme buttons etc.
If I remember correctly it was an Ultima, and was made in the UK, with the UK door and the 55l/WMA style drum design, based on a Ariston model - made outside the UK.
Its (Ariston version) been around the Facebook forum before, If i find it, I'll share a link.

WT960

I have a WT960P, it was my grans and it replaced a much loved Hoover Ecologic 1300 which I broke! It was purchased in 2005 directly from Hotpoint for under £150 as Grandad worked for Hotpoint so he was allowed a discount. The machine had a big blue LCD display in the center of the panel, the tray on the left and a ring in almoast and O shape with the programme choices, and the ON/OFF and START button in the middle (as well as another blue light).

I also wheeled home a WT960G that was on the street just over a year ago now. The machine needed a pressure switch, door seal and a wiring loom, possibly more as with the melted and broken wiring loom, it wasn't electrically safe to plug in and run.

With the question, are you on about the dryer having a plain fascia, or the washer?

It could be this model...released in 2005 I think

As far as Hotpoint WMA/WT series go, this one's a rarity as it only appeared in for less than a year in 2005 and disappeared when the new Aqualtis range came. The model of this machine is WTV70 and WTV75 for the aluminium version (pictured).

There hasn't been any sightings of this machine on eBay, and the manual related to this machine is of a WT960 series.

Unfortunatly not... sorry!

This is the only picture I can find, in fact I can't even find a picture of the white counterpart of this model.

I know that it was featured in the 2005-2006 brochure (which also saw the debut of the Hotpoint Extendia, a precursor of the Aqualtis) so there'll be some info of that if anyone has a copy of the brochure from that time.

I'd like to see some more info as well, I've never seen it on eBay or anywhere else, I don't remember seeing it on Comet, Currys etc., can someone shed some light on this little mystery, pretty please?
