Scored this blender for a pittance at a yard sale. The little old lady who was selling it said she bought it new (didn't remember exactly when) and used it a few times then put it in the back of a cabinet and promptly forgot about it until last week. Runs nicely. Questions. Who made this one and about when? It will go nicely next to my harvest gold vintage blender.

Wow. That picture's squashed... I fear the rest will be as well. Sorry. I am still getting used to the camera on my iPad 3 and how it uploads as well...

Anyway... Another (hopefully better) view.

The model number. Any ideas, folks?

Sorry for the squishy pics. I took the recent GE dryer pics with this and they posted ok. Another ios6 bug?

Thanks for pegging the mfg.

Since I am not very experienced on vintage blenders, can I ask what tells you this is made by Hamilton Beach? Also, any ideas on age? Not bad for $5, huh?

The triangular jar is one give-away. I have a couple of these Kenmore versions as well a Philips version sold in Canada and a HB somewhere. There's an accessory mini food processor/chopper that fits your model from HB at the time,, nice to have.

I vote for HB,too-they made blenders and other small appliances for Sears over the years.and the machine shown was made in the US-the HB junk household ones are now made in--china.If you go for HB these days-buy their COMMERCIAL ones.Used to have a Sears one like that long ago-was a Christmas present. The jar and base are the giveaways.

This Kenmore is a rebadged Proctor-Silex from around 1975. I don't know if it was sold by Sears in the US or not. The Oster versions were also being sold at the same time but more expensive The Hamilton Beach models came later iirc.

Hamilton Beach

I agree that this was made by Hamilton Beach when it was still a division of Scovill Manufacturing. Scovill owned the division until 1986 when it was purchased by Glen Dimplex.
