Yeah it's hot...

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

They are saying we could have the hottest weather here since 2010 thru the 4th. We will see. I have not turned my a/c on yet this year as every night goes into the 50's. Mid 70's days, 50's night is my perfect weather with no humidity and just a ceiling fan. And rain, by law to only to be able to fall between midnight and 4am. Not in the real world, just my perfect world, lol

THe heat will be on this weekend..not looking forward to it at all...Today was a most beautiful day.. maybe 77 degs, no humidity, air was clear, my sinuses clear. I was out on the bike most of it in a tee shirt.. Stopped by the subie dealer to arrange an oil change,, took a new Outback for a test spin, life is good , at least today it was.

Heat index is 108 today in south central Texas with high humidity from the gulf. I hung out a pair jeans I washed this morning, they were dry in no time. We are going into stage 3 water restrictions this week. A/C runs all the time.
Ice tea is tasting good!!!

Pritmuch been July since the last week of May, temp wise. Couple yrs back, May was still in the 40s. Sorta get used to not getting used to it.

Limited exposure, 32yo Toyota air still works, no biggy until the electric bill arrives.

Great here!

I still sleep with my infamous wall heater set to 90F, but I can notice it runs for less than 5 minutes until the thermostat kills it.

I'm kinda homesick lately, so I'm looking forward for temperatures near 115F

By the way, does anybody know if there is a thermostat that goes beyond only 90F or if there is a way to "cheat" the thermostat to keep the furnace running?

The past two weeks I've been dodging rain storms while trying to finish reworking the roof over my deck. I'm half way done and I go back to work tomorrow night. It's been SOOOO hot. Up there with no shade in the blazing sun...I'm glad I work nights in a hospital with air conditioning. When the sun goes down and I have to come in from the roof I freeze half to death in the house after being in the hot sun all day.

Temps here are up and down more than a whore working two beds. Hot for a day or two, then cool, then cold, hot again, THis coming week starting Thursday looks to be rather humidly unpleasant, but it's better than gray skies and rain I guess.

Supposed to be mid 90s this weekend with the dew point around 80°, we’re under an excessive heat watch due to the humidity.

Got family coming in for the week so it’s gonna be fun! Finally some real swimming weather!

We actually have warning...

In a few hours from now, it will be very hot here. The weather reporters are acting dramatic like it will be a disaster when it has happened before and people will cope.

GusHerb, if you go swimming or just in the hot weather will you be wearing a Speedo?

No Heat To Really Speak Of In Our Neck of The Woods

Outside of a few very hot days several weeks ago things have been rather cool in NYC. However Manhattan at least has been rather damp and muggy, which is another matter.

Though hated to do it finally gave in and turned on AC last night. Outdoor temperature was in low 70's or maybe high 60's, but the moisture levels were in 80% rage or higher. Cannot abide that clammy sort of weather.

107 today...hot but not too bad...

...but on this day in 2007, the temp reached 129 in Death Valley, a scant 300 miles from me. Pack a lunch, put the kids in the car and let's go have a weenie roast...no BBQ needed.

Shall we all meet up

at Scotties Castle? I know it's quite a bit north of Death Valley, but still in the desert. It was closed a few years ago because of severe flooding.

Has been bearable

Here for a couple of days, was only 88 yesterday with humidity seeming lower, that doesent sound great, and isn't, but better than 97 and 85 percent humidity like we have been having,,,BRING ON WINTER!!!!!

Hot Lanta

Been fairly hot here (low 90's) but been having gully washers and thunderstorms just about every evening to help cool things off. Lakes are full for once in a long time. Lake Lanier hit full pool which has been awhile seeing that. But Atlanta and the precious mussel fields at the mouth of the Chattahoochee in Alabama will have Lanier sucked dry in less than 6 months and us back on the eternal water restrictions. And I read 91k people moved to Atlanta and suburbs last year alone and the EPA has blocked several years in a row allowing new water reservoirs to be constructed. But so far, very wet year!

It's hot here too, forecast was mid 80's and I had 91 in my car today. It doesn't feel that bad today because we don't have a lot of humidity... Yet. That's supposed to come in tomorrow. Saturday's forecast is something like 96 and humid, heat index 105-115. A/C is on and will be for the foreseeable future, 2 of 3 window air conditioners on low and holding most of the house low 70's. Not planning on doing much of anything outside this weekend!

Just went out for Sunday morning stroll.

Got a few doors away and said "scrub this"; and came straight back home to the AC.

It is already 84F with 69% humidity. Shall not be going out again until later this evening. By then hopefully things will have cooled down.

Lovely

Here too - North West England, UK.

86-90F with almost what feels like no humidity (almost unheard of temperatures for the U.K.) Atlantic makes sure our little island isn’t too warm or dry for too long, especially here in the NW (the wettest region of the U.K., but upside is we have by far the best tap water though on the back of it).

We’re all melting as we’re just not used to the heat and whilst all workplaces and commercial premises have AC, our homes typically do not (again we just don’t get the weather often enough to warrant it - even being different to mainland Europe in terms of typical weather)
