Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Whirlpool

True, other brands had faster spins for a few percentage points more extraction, but this era Whirlpool/Kenmore are solid performers for sure. Tighten the belt, find out what is slowing the spin, and use them for many trouble-free years.

They look like a nice set! Wish I had room for them. I always liked belt drive Whirlpool's - we had one for a while when I was a kid. From what I can remember it also spun slow, much slower than our Maytag did. I'd grab it if I were you. Don't forget the videos.

I could be wrong but the wider diameter tub makes up for the "slower" spin speed. I recall my clothes being stuck to the tub and feeling relatively well spun. I believe the effective "g-force" is the same as a narrow tub spinning faster.

I got sick from something i ate, so im going tomorrow... I know very little of these machines, so if i do get them I will ask questions

Although, I would still prefer a Maytag or GE...Or something with panache

Is it an electrics dryer? These are pretty basic-looking machines, but even if the washer lacks a self-cleaning filter, but hopefully has a true delicate speed, not to mention the dryer having a gentle-heat dry and even a temperature-sensing automatic dry, then these are good value for the money, especially if they're large-capacity...

They are a nice set, and well kept... However they are a drive from my house and they both won't fit in my suv in one trip... Working on the logisitcs and so forth now,,,
