Beautiful Washer
My grandmother had that exact machine. I spent many hours as a child watching and listening to it. The machine was in her "breakfast room". She did not have the matching dryer as she did not have the space. She had a little Maytag portable dryer. Most clothes got hung on the line to dry anyway. This machine brings back so many childhood memories of her. And the smells of washing!! She had it right next to her gas water heater...which she kept set at 180 degrees! She washed almost everything in hot, hot water! She was always cautioning me not to touch the water. There was steam everywhere! My grandfather was a mechanic...and his clothes were the cleanest mechanics clothes you ever saw! Wonderful machine!
