It's getting the going-through to prep it for full-time service. Yes. I know. Booting the indexing-tub 1989 Frigidaire? It was shocking for me, too. But hey, I like turnover as much as the next guy.
This machine is fundamentally in brilliant shape underneath and has a beautiful control panel, but has a bajillion chips and rust spots on the inner and outer tub that need addressing before it's pressed into full-time Activation.
Plus, I need to fix the gouges in the outer tub from the forgotten/ignored off-balance loads that forever send these machines' inner tubs crashing into the outer ones...
I spent all afternoon hammering loose the tranny bolts to get the inner tub out. It became clear that, in unscrewing them, I was rethreading them, using the transmission hub as a die. Happily, they didn't break off, or else the neighborhood would have gotten an earful.
A "Living Room" is meant for living in - you're young and have plenty of time for the plastic-covered furniture and pinch pleated draperies and doilies on table tops!
has 5 rollermatics and 3 frigidaire dryers in it at the present time! i took out all furniture, completely! i have a folding chair i stash between two of the rollermatics just in case i want to "sit a spell" which i never do anyway!
the one rollermatic is in the process of a complete rebuild so at times when i am working on it i have parts galore scattered around!
Chris you should have also shown a photo from the dining room towards the sofa. I don't know of anyone else I have ever seen who could pull off this mix with as much aplomb as you have. You have very good taste in decorating.
