"Dan, I love it, but what's that Custom Imperial thing? I don't recall Maytag ever making any of those. ;-)"
It pulled a fast one and snuck in there, attempting to imitate the clam shell control panel of the 806's, lol. I'll be bringing another dryer home of the HOH variety with a lighted console (don't want to ruin the surprise just yet). I think Mr. Frigidaire is beginning to shake in his boots. He may be kicked out of his cozy climate controlled home and be up for sale soon in order to make some room. I'll have to decide if there's going to be a third row of appliance or not.
"Dan, that white one in the front row is my favorite dryer of all time. We had the gas model. It was a gem, so easy to use, and performed efficiently and flawlessly until one day the drum froze up."
You must have had a DG806. I quit using all of my HOH dryers earlier this year until I figured out how to tear the units all the way down to the drum bushings for a lubing/seal replacement. Even though I have several drum bushing kits, I didn't want to to end up with a frozen drum, like your situation. RCD schooled me in that department a couple of weeks ago, so now the fun begins!
