The timer is seized as I guessed it would be. It does pull in/out to start/stop though.
Of course it's going to need some TLC and a lot of paint. Fortunately the vast majority of the rust looks to be light surface rust.
Unfortunately the badge is missing off the front of the machine.
As I mentioned, the seller did some research on the internet and they even found a video of one on Youtube. I asked him to describe the video and it turns out it was MY video of Roberts machine at the May, 2010 wash-in!
I was quite stunned when my friend David called me about it and KNEW I had to check it out as soon as I could!

It's SO much better off in your hands than it would have been sitting in the guys yards as yard art, getting rained on and slowly rusting away. When you get around to it, I'd love to have go at fixing that timer for you.

So much for the newly aquired garage space.....
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! I still cant believe it myself!
I started dismantling the washer this afternoon to inspect and clean.
I discovered there was a lot of crap in the outer tub.... so I scooped it all out!
As I was cleaning all this stuff out, I discovered the reason, which I assume the washer taken out of service. What's left of a large towel was in the outer tub blocking the drain port.
All told, there was A LOT of crap in the outer tub! (and by the way, it's hard to tell in the photo, but that is not
just a little dirt across the bottom of that box, it's an MIN 1 1/2 inch deep!)
