Neil... shoudn't you sort colors and whites!??!?! Red socks and red underwear I see I hope don't fade out onto whites... they aren't indeed those bright colours to be washed with whites together either if you set 40°C instead of 60°C...

Like I said only a small load this time, so I did two loads- Whites / colours and very darks. Usually if I have a big load I will do a separate whites wash at 95, but only when that warrants a decent load. In my opinion there is nothing worst than a machine on for 3 hours with just a few things in it. Also with the temp being just 40 and having washed these a number of times, I see no harm. The pic was taken , after the wash.

It was playtime today so I got the Velo agitator washer out. Filled it with a pair of jeans, a pair of sweatpants and socks. Here it's filling from the shower. Water is 40*C (105*F).
Detergent was Amway SA8. In the last rinse I used the SA8 softener. The detergent is OK, I don't like the softener. Too thick (it clogs up all the dispensers on the automatic machines and I don't like the smell either).
Draining into the floordrain (of the shower)
Rinsing away next to the AEG toploader.
Last spin in the Miele spindryer.
Done!
