I heard the news earlier and it is so sad that he gone at a young age, he will be well missed!

Frankly, I'm amazed

that he lived this long! Press reports from the early 80s said that he had prolonged times of alcohol abuse..... a brilliant designer, when he was at the top of his game, no one could match him for the 20-30 year old set.

Also, though not an actual perfumer, he did have more involvement in the development of his perfumes than many designers.
