Hello Can anyone tell me if the Heater Sensor thats attached to the sump should be open circuit or closed?
I have tested everything I can to find out why this machine won't heat up and all I can find that is open circuit is this small sensor I thought of by passing it to see if its the problem but thought maybe it closes the circuit when it gets hot??? Does anybody know?

I think it should be the other way around... opens the circuit when a certain temperature is reached. Just my uninitiated opinion

I hope some1 else in this forum will soon give you some expertise on the matter. You could try to bypass it anyway... nothing catastrophic should happen... if it was supposed to close when the temperature is reached then it would cut off the power or, in the opposite instance it might restore power to some other component which in this case could be the heater... which is what you want.
