Im really not sure. I would imagine the purpose of it is for something like that, but on the machine i used with RSI, it used so little water i should think you'd have to run it about 3 times through the entire rinse cycle before the water ran clear!

Would make so much more sense if Zanussi just programmed the machines to use enough water in the first place!

FL1012

They did have electronic machines from 1994/1995 if i remember correctly the FJ1200 was an electronic machine, with a static dial which was near the drawer, and a push button with a little flap which all the square buttons were shown

Here is the control panel

1997 Zanussi Input FL15

and this type of machine let to the Zanussi Input machines from 1997, which looked like the Small Door Electronic XC washer dryers, only the control panal was on top, so it stopped people bending down to set the machine

it had a special function, where you could save 3 of your most used programmes for future use.

these machines let to the development of the IZ washer and the XC Jetsystem/Aquacycle machines from 2000-2002

with the evolution of the XC to XC6 to the timeline series from 2004-2006

Aah yes, i remember seeing the Input model in a local electrical shop actually. Im shocked i forgot about that. Never seen one in action so im guessing they didn't sell in huge numbers here.

Can't say ive ever seen the earlier machines though, never knew they even existed, so ive learnt something new today!

Have you seen either of them in action zanussi_lover?

ermm

I haven't seen an input in action, but i remember seeing them in a 1997 zanussi brochure

They had a Zanussi FDJ1500 washer dryer on absolutely fabulous after they remodelled the kitchen, this was after 1995 (series 3)

pre 1995 , they had Darrens washer (FJ1033) on the first episode, and a FL series washer with 2 dials which was swopped round on several episodes in the first and second series.

in the first episode they had an early 90s slim line zanussi dishwasher next to the washer.

Model Number

the model for that washer dryer was the WJS1265W, we were going to buy one of those, but ended up getting the FJS1225W washing machine, as my mum and dad wanted a kingsize bed, so a big drum to put the sheets in.

Nobody has mentioned this machine yet!

Saw mention of the word 'digital' above and instantly thought of the machine below.

Appearing towards the end of the Washcraft era, and on sale back in 1984, I give you the....

Zanussi Z2001IS - Input System.

A superb looking machine.

Cheers

I think this machine was Zanussi's first foray into the world of digital, chips and computer control.

The rather fussy facia show below - but what style!

There was a further version of this machine called the ZE2002IS, which would have been replaced in the model lineup by Saj's FLE3000 Computawash.

zanussi_lover...

I have seen that machine before on the internet!I forgot the model number. My friend had the 1600rpm version of that Zanussi XC model. It was quite cool.

Well i think i can quite safely say i got my original statement about the Jetsystem being the top of the range totally wrong, but at least it's stirred a few memories and got some great looking machines remembered!

I mightve seen the Directa models in our local Co-op when i was younger now ive thought about it. The flip down control panel coloured green on the 'flipped down' side has just jogged my memory :-)

I wonder where these have all gone, they mustve sold to SOMEONE!

yeah

I'd like to see those, post em up

would be good if anyone had any zanussi brouchures to scan them and make them into pdf files to put on the site

so we can have an archive of brouchures
