I am wondering: What exactly happened to Zanussi? Who bought them out? Where were they made? Would anybody have photos of the factory? I am wondering because there seems to be a lot of interest, as they must have been out of production for a while.

NorthernSouthern: Zanussi are very much alive! They are apart of the electrolux group! I'm a proud owner of the current a model from the current line up which i'm delighted with!

They became apart of the electrolux group in the early 80s! And are my favourite brand ever! There is alot of talk about there old machines as they were absalutely brilliant, reliable great styled machines!

Is Zanussi their top brand or is it AEG?

The "food chain" if you like is now Zanussi, AEG & Electrolux is the flagship brand!

The prices of electrolux models reflect there aim for it to be a top of the range brand with top of the range features.

Tricity bendix is not avaliable as a brand for much longer though they are still kicking around.

I didn't know Tricity Bendix weren't being made anymore. Shame. My Mum has one but branded just "Bendix" and my Dad had one for a while but he replaced it with a washer dryer.

When I typed 'Tricity Bendix' into Google,I clicked on the link saying Tricity Bendix (Well of course lol) and i was just redirected to the Electrolux website.I sure do hope our oven door handle doesnt snap again.
