Good morning all,
I’ve recently finally had some issues with a very dependable Maytag washer I have and need some help from folks that may have dealt with it before or have some parts breakdowns I can’t get ahold of. A couple few years ago I did new damper pads and a set of belts.
I’ve developed a water leak from what appears to be one of the three bolts that hold the main tub to what I’m going to call an “inverted tripod”. It appears that there is some sort of washer that is used to seal the bolt where it goes through the tub. It also appears I’ll have to possibly go as far as removing the basket to access these, which is okay as I think it may need to be recentered due to recent banging/balancing issues. I am having a hard time finding any sort of breakdown for parts and part numbers to get these pieces ordered before I take it all apart for the repair. I do know the same mechanicals were used for many years on these so the breakdowns I have found may work and came back with a part number of W10175939 which is a new bolt and some sort of sealing washer.
I also may or may not want to tackle the minimal oil slinging from the transmission under the machine finally. But again, stuck on a good source of parts breakdowns and numbers. Even if I don’t do that repair now I am at the point where I want to probably stock up on the parts as when I do get to it they may be even more scarce than they are now.
Thank you for any help in advance.
