We interrupt our previous film schedule to move something special to the head of the queue. It's a rare film from 1984 all about WP's D2000 program, from conception to factory assembly, with lots of great behind the scenes shots and info. Excellent color and only minor denoising was required. The DD fans are going to love it!

Aren’t bad machines, just the programming was a bit stingy as wasn’t all that well thought out. Never understood why they didn’t do gentle agitation on the rinse portion of the permanent press or knit cycle,

The thing that gets me with the later direct drives on how they never did a spray rinse on the first spin.

 
Perma press isn't really about the wash action, rather the cool down by adding cool water to the load during pump out to prevent wrinkling.
I like how Whirlpool used advanced technology before GE adopted their wash action in 1995.
@cadman, if you're reading this, I'd like to see GE's Profile Maxus platform from 1995 where they showed the auto balance system.
