Anyone know about Mexican laundry detergents?

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all well. I was at the Mexican grocery store today to replenish my supply of good coca colas (I gave most of the last pack away at our New Year’s party, and everyone agreed that it’s much better than the USA version), and decided to take a little stroll down the laundry detergent isle, in hopes of finding something exotic, and man, did I hit the jackpot. There were so many detergents I’d never seen before. Ultimately, I brought home this FOCA detergent to try out. It was very inexpensive, only $1.79 for a 17.63 OZ bag. It smells fresh, a tiny bit like bleach, but also not really at the same time. I haven’t ever smelled 1960’s laundry detergent before, so I can’t say for sure, but it smells a lot like the descriptions that I’ve read on here of old school powder soap. Has anyone on here ever ran this before? Also, is there a particular brand that I should look into the next time I need to replenish my supply of good cokes? I’m super excited to try this out on my laundry. I’ll report back on how it goes.

I’ve been using Ariel Powder detergent now for almost a year after switching from the tremendously overpriced Tide Ultra Liquid. Hands down Ariel Powder detergent out cleans the Tide Ultra Liquid. Like many other folks out there when I’m cooking I’m liable to get oil and grease stains on my clothing. The Tide Ultra Liquid never got these stains out the first time washing the garment even with pre treating the stains. On the other hand Ariel Powder detergent gets these bothersome stains out in the first washing and WITHOUT pre treating! It smells pleasant, rinses out well and leaves all of my laundry soft, fresh smelling and clean for a price thats at least 3 X’s less that the less effective Tide Ultra Liquid. I haven’t tried Foca, but I sure do love me some Ariel.

I've variously kept Ariel, Foca, and Roma on-hand over a period of years. They all can be more sudsy than "domestic" HE products. A few years ago I decided to eliminate Foca and Roma. Once in a while I use Ariel as the primary detergent for a load but typically I add a bit with whatever other product I'm using. Three of my four daily-driver machines are HE.

Does Ariel come in a liquid version? I'll grab a 7-11 sized bottle to try next time I make a run across the border. We used unscented brands for years, but they don't seem to control odors well. I've gotten used to Gain's smell after a few months, but I hated it at first.

Walmart here shows in-stock liquid of one Ariel version, all the rest are powders. The HEB shows only powders. I suppose there may be items in the stores that aren't shown online. A factor in why I buy Ariel (and previously Foca and Roma) is because they're powders.

Maybe the scent of some Tequila would make people sniff your clothes.
