That would be a hoot. Who would be the first one wearing a lamp shade (oh I mean a mini-basket) on their head, and nothing else.
I think they were discontinued because of air-conditioning. I don't know, but that's what I'm thinking. The ad's that were pics-of-the-day all had air-conditioners in the wall of the kitchens, and electricity was cheap.

I have the Kenmore version on that disposer. It has a reversing feature. It's the best one I ever had. It has never jammed. It came with a two piece stopper. To go along with this thread, I prefer continuous feed models.
At $5,000, you could replace a regular dishwasher every year just for kicks. Not worth it!!! Well in Texas it would be a problem with sun damage and hail smacking into the front panel of the thing, but I don't think they are that durable.
