Thanks mrx, Believe me when I say I tried to make sure it was clean. I vacuumed it with a shop vac, I cleaned the threads on the cabinet and on the cap with a toothbrush, then dried both with clean towels. I made sure that I did not cross thread the cap by turning counter clockwise til it...

I just talked to Miele tech support and they are sending a new drain cap, if that does not fix the problem, I will break down and shell out $160. for a service call.Thanks for all the helpful suggestions.

Mine looks different. It does not have the cap . It did work properly before the clog.I did remove it from the door bracket to take the picture.The sediment you see under the right hand corner of the machine is what clogged the tube and hoses.

The hose itself is not leaking due to a material breakdown or damage of the rubber. It is just leaking out the spigot!If I put a cork in the end of the spigot it would probably stop, but it was OK prior to the clog problem. I did something during the cleaning process and cannot get it to stop...
