Forget Holy Grail: I Found The Perfect Coca-Cola

Interesting about the Dublin Dr. Pepper. A Jason's Deli here was carrying it for a short time back in the spring. I thought it was delicious. One day I went in and they didn't have it any more. There was a sign next to the drink fountain explaining that they weren't allowed to carry it any more...

    Picture of the Day

Yeah, at one point I lived in an apartment that had been built in 1986, and it had a GE set very similar to this.

    BD Whirlpool clicking...

Reading this thread and looking at how the wigwag and the transmission work answers a question for me. I've always wondered why, when a BD Whirlpool/Kenmore goes to agitate, there's usually a moment's delay between the motor starting and the beginning of the agitation/recirc. Looking at how the...

Late night washer fun, with a HOTPOINT

Lake water Looks like that made them dirtier instead of cleaner... If we did that around here, we'd have milfoil growing in our clothes!

    Law in America

Oh, and Toggle, where I live it is prohibited to hitch an animal to the courthouse fence. This is despite the fact that the courthouse hasn't had a fence since 1963.

    Law in America

In Alabama, it is illegal to carry an ice cream cone in your back pocket. Tennessee bars using lassos to catch fish. In Gainesville, GA, it is illegal to use utensils to eat fried chicken.

    Chrysler Airtemp

I recall that where I live, in the '60s before retail moved from downtown to the shopping malls, these Airtemps were a popular choice for downtown businesses. Nearly all the retail establishments had air conditioning by this time; it was a way of attracting business since there were still a lot...

What if Microsoft made a washer?

You'd have to buy all of your clothes from Microsoft in order for it to work right. If it broke down, they'd tell you that the problem was caused by third-party clothes.

continuing Laundress's theme of light hearted fun....

Since we just recently lost Harvey Kormann, I'll quote one of my favorite lines from Blazing Saddles: "Driver! Take me off this picture!"

    Antique GE Dryer - $50

Not a GE This is almost certainly a Whirlpool or Kenmore, probably from the '70s. The fold-down door, the lint filter door on top, and the non-rotating drum back are dead giveaways.

What if Microsoft made a washer?

So the thread "Poor Power Point" in the Deluxe thread obviously sent my brain down the wrong path, and I got to thinking: What would happen if Microsoft made a washer? Everyone contribute! I'll get it started... What if Microsoft make a washer? It would only wash one item at a time unless you...
