Powders suitable for both machine and handwashing? Plastic bags instead of boxes? I'm sure Henkel has done the research, and bet the product will use their buyout of Dial and 20 Mule Team Borax.

I've seen some machines do that when the hose filters are clogged. Mostly happens on the hot side with a lot of build up. Easy thing to check out.

@limey I believe it was combo that said that powdered detergents contained protecting elements and not using enough robbed you of that protection. In addition not using enough detergent could lead to build up of foreign matter because instead of seperating and suspension it coats the tub...
