Electric vs gas My old Maytag gas dryer overdried everything. My newer GE compact electric dryer dries things to a wonderful softness but like mrboilwash above I do shake the towels out as I am putting them into the dryer.

Hmmm It may well work for amount of smelly clothing that will fit in a bathroom sink,...it might be the answer to the technical fabrics smell problem. I can't imagine it would be effective against real dirt.
