What would you replace in the transmission? If you know a part number or what to call it, I would be very grateful.

When it's stopped the agitator does not spin. When it is just starting to spin you can hold the agitator but when it speeds up it starts grabing. Thanks

PS Thanks for the motor coupling replys on my last post, same machine with new coupler installed.

Whirlpool LA5300XPNO during spin cycle the agitator acts like it wants to ratchet instead of free wheeling. Makes a loud noise. Thanks

Thank You! Thank You! Customer said his belt was broken on the washer and I had never looked at it. It was a coupler. Are the 285753A couplers better than the older without the metal incerts?
