I would love to find a belt part number for this Washer! Whirlpool Design 2000 model# LA53000XPNO I think it's made in the mid 80's.

Thank You So Much for Your Time
Tommy

Even though a belt doesn't exist for the machine that you've mentioned. Why are you trying to find that? Are you having a problem with that machine? If so, what is it that the machine isn't doing?

If you post exactly what problem you're having with the machine I'm sure someone on here will be able to give you the necessary guidance to correct your problem.

Motor coupler

The motor coupler may be bad (or disintegrated like our KitchenAid's did) if you're having issues with agitation or spinning and the pump is working fine. These are the replacements for belts in these machines. Here's a link to appliancepartspros.com where it has a video down in the thumbnail pics of the part.

Thank You!

Thank You! Customer said his belt was broken on the washer and I had never looked at it. It was a coupler. Are the 285753A couplers better than the older without the metal incerts?

WP DD Washers Belts?

There is actually a foam rubber belt around the outside of the brake drum, its only purpose is to reduce the ringing sound when the brake is disengaged as the washer goes into spin.

Sometimes when a drive cupping breaks and a customer moves the washer from its installed position they find this thin rubber strip laying under the washer and they bring it into the parts store and try to buy a new one thinking this is why the washer is not working, LOL.

The drive cupping with the metal insert is the best one that WP has used yet in their DD washers and is the one they are using in the new DD washers that are currently in production, I recommend it.
