    random record console question

Richland Hydralique, I almost got this GE "Richland" reel to reel stereo console at Salvation Army, the house is really cramped now, but this was a prize. The sound! And I love the type of music you mentioned. And Zenith is on my console list, saw a gigantic one like Martin's, don't know if it...

    random record console question

Whoa Daddy!! What zinnias? Here's a shot of the opening page of the 1970 brochure, with my favorite 2 Gram tonearm. Haven't successfully learned how to scan yet. You look like Aaron Tippin.

General Electric Do you remember Porta-Fi?

    random record console question

I do love RCA Victor also, but of course, Magnavox is my first love. General Electric was a fantastic company, in my opinion, until like you say. I love my General Electrics. GE had high end hi-fi in the late '50s through part of the '60s. And they had wonderful console sets, plus table top...

Robert I thought of you when I saw this!

My property needs to be neater than it is, but it has not reached critical mass, yet. The tip top neighbors are few, but the "worst" as far as what's visible, are within reason. There's definately a limit as to what HOAs should expect.

Robert I thought of you when I saw this!

RE563, Have You Met Mr. Councelor? That is his name. In 2005, I was reeling from abuse at work, three major hurricanes that had damaged my house, a depression from personal problems, and at the time, the grass was not high, but there were some daisies growing in clumps, maybe four, and the...

    Who knew?

I saw a comedian on TV one night that made some comment on his parents having bought some off the wall record player for the kids- a Speed-Queen stereo. If Kelvinator made console sets, sign me up for one.

    Jerry Lewis Y El Theremin

Yes! I couldn't think of the name, I think it's the recording that pretty much started the craze. It will take me hours to find in my collection unfortunately. Bravo to you for all these fantastic people you know.

    Thrift Shop Rant

We only have one organization at the moment, Mustard Seed, one in Port St. Lucie, one in Fort Pierce. The Ft. Pierce store has a reputation for letting everything in. At the moment, it's pretty dry. And I bought my microwave in Goodwill this July.

    Anyone here into vinyl?

Remember Classic- this man is THE Magnavox Collector. I mean that in a nice way. His collection of Magnavox makes mine look like sewer rejects. There are actually some people that buy them, but he goes down somewhat in pricing. And his units are fully functioning. I would pay only up to $300.00...

    random record console question

The Magnificent Magnavox I am anxiously awaiting this from eBay. I have four champagne colored changers, and two later model black changers.

    The very best vinyl player?

I have a late '80s TEAC that is the best one I own. It's on the "good" system. The GPX I got 6 years ago is garbage, a $20.00 White-Westinghouse pocket model is excellent. I'd rather have a Magnavox Micromatic or Zenith Micro-Touch 2 gram tonearm/VM.

Some other vintage audio and TV goodness

Mr. Murphy's Magnavox Hows about a 1973 Magnavox color TV stereo theatre for $1,250.00, same as it set you back in '73? Over $6000.00 if you adjust '73s price. This image swiped off the eBay listing.

    Summer 2007 Picture thread~Part 3

We had an episode yesterday, poor Nicky had gotten milk in his fur, and having just turned 13, is not always agile enough to clean himself. We had to shampoo him. Near disaster. Here is before:

Well, I will certainly be looking for the DVDs and CDs, and my Moog Synthesiser LP of Bach. I wouldn't mind finding the Varese bio either. Great that you know so many of these innovators and artisans!
