The Green Monster! My Dad purchased a New Kirby D80 in 1968, Now I was only 7 years old and that thing weighed a ton, me and my sister use to call it the Green Monster! It would suck the rugs off the floor, my legos, my sisters doll clothes and more! Dad purchased the whole lot, moth ball...

    Sears Kenmore 800, 700, & 600?

Is something going on at Sears recently I have noticed that the 800 Series (Automatic Water Level Control) has a new lower price and the 700 Series has disappeared, and the 600 Series price is very close to the 800 Series price? Could it be that the 600 Series has become the top seller?

Older Kenmore in Kansas City area

Takes me back! Great Machine, Mommy had one close to this machine except I believe it was a 600 Series, didn't have the chrome square around the dial and dial was not lighted and had a manual metal lint filter, (Nasty Thing, wet lint) This Kenmore replaced the 1956 frog eye washer Dad took...

1963 Kenmores - now I have MORE turquoise in the house!

OMG! AREN'T THOSE 70 SERIES? Kevin, GREAT SET! I would pay BIG $$$ for those! I much prefer the control lighting concept of the 70's rather than the big glass panel of the Lady's.

    Whirlpool Thin Twin

Workhorse Thin Twin 27in I know the glass door model was made up to at least 1991 when I purchased mine. That thing lasted 17 years w/o any repairs till last fall when the washer motor burnt out. It was well worth the $1280 I paid for it in 1991. So that is $75 a year, $6.25 a month, I think...

    Production Lines

Does anyone know how the production lines work at Whirlpool for example; is Whirlpool, Kenmore, Kirkland, and other brands coming from the same factory, is every other machine a different brand or model?

Late 06's - early 70's (?) Whirlpool washer in the LA area.

1st redesign after the RCA Whirlpool agreement ended, as Whirlpool moved forward into "The Wedge" Control Panel years.

After a 3 month wait and another trip to Phoenix, the 1968 WP set is finally home!

The Dryer thinks it is an Estate Wagon! Wood Paneling and a door that opens two ways??? Sounds like a Caprice Estate Wagon to me!

    Sears Best/Lady Kenmore Iron

The Lady was a Sunbeam I had both this iron and it's twin the Sunbeam, both made by Sunbeam, as I remember they did not last too long due to the steam holes getting clogged, even though I used distilled water as instructed. Sometimes I have seen these at Estate Sales, Good Luck!

    Best-Looking Kenmores

I agree! I had the Last Lady Kenmore electronic in the 80's, trouble, trouble! Then after came this set Limited Edition, I guess Whirlpool thinks people will forget, if it's not a Kenmore or a Whirlpool every couple of years these things hit the sales floor and then they disappear again...
