Lowe's says I am not the kind of customer they desire

Better yet, Michaelman, stores need to go back to doing their own credit operations independently.

Lowe's says I am not the kind of customer they desire

None of my currently held card issuers (last 7 years or so) has ever made a penny of interest on me. One of them recently changed their policy to having an "annual fee" which they charge to your account at the rate of $2 a month or whatever the amount is. In other words, just charging me...

    Micro Shelf Custom Imperial

Here's a nice Tappan example of what I was talking about.

Anyone remember the Jello Whip N Chill?

Thanks for that explanation! I don't remember what all flavors there were, but it was cool! Going to try the recipe at some point!

Here is some of my stuff!!!

Great stuff Hans! Love it all! What is taking the place of the 806 Maytag? Great dryer, and a clothespin bag like every good laundry room should have!! Does the Kenmore range have that piece of glass or whatever that goes over the oven opening when the door is open? I saw that once at a sale; I...

    Micro Shelf Custom Imperial

I am currently a gas user but electric will always be my no. 1 choice, and certainly I would insist on it in any home I owned. I've noticed this shelf referred to as a place for a microwave. I'm accustomed to them as a warming shelf. Kelly, does this one have that function? Were microwave ovens...

    July was............... Maytag month????

These are both wonderful sets! Notice how in 70s sets, one sees harvest gold pretty much more than anything else. I remember it being a big status symbol to have an automatic w/d set in harvest gold at that time! Interesting the 806 does not have the chrome top to the lint filter. I know they...

    Percolator fun!

Cool! For its relative low cost, the "Poly Perk" was actually quite a nice product.

    As Danny Thomas Says

Is there Norelco anything now besides electric razors? We do have Philips appliances in the US now. I think I have one of those hand held stick blenders of that brand. I have a Philips electric mixer I believe I got from Pete that is an exact replica of the old standby Hamilton Beach mixers we...

    Beige Carpet...

Even without pets, it's no fun having it go right up to your entrance door either. That square area gets just hideous and you can never get it clean. When I changed the kitchen and bath to this wood-look vinyl, which I love, I had them cut that piece out and put it there as well. It looks so...

Anyone remember the Jello Whip N Chill?

Remember it well, Spiceman! Look up further in the thread and there is a recipe that apparently recreates it. I didn't and don't still understand how it works, but I liked it!

    Percolator fun!

Pumice stem to absorb coffee acids I always wondered, both what that material was and what it was for. The new ones no longer have that piece.

Yay, a very nice model 10!

    My grandmother's Pulsamatic

I hope at least one more time in life I'll be able to be in the same room as Appnut when a Pulsamatic is operating. :-)

    Micro Shelf Custom Imperial

Oh, so you bought it! I guess I missed that part. Awesome! Bob, yes there were several at the time. I know of Tappan and Hardwick gas ranges (again, upper warming shelf and exhaust, no heat lamps that I know of), I'm sure they may well have been other electrics as well.

    Micro Shelf Custom Imperial

I've not seen it before either, but I like it. I've not seen heatlamps be used in that fashion before I don't think, but I remember some other ranges like this that had a built in exhaust, and often that uppermost shelf was a warmer. Probably harkens to the days when not all kitchens had built...

Anyone remember the Jello Whip N Chill?

"Jell-o" was a regular standby in our household, appeared on the table with almost every evening meal. I loved it with celery, carrots, all manner of canned fruits, you name it! Actually still would, I just never seem to remember to buy it. I never knew or remembered though there was an actual...

    Last Minute Grab

    Warehouse stores I love this.

CL Ad Could this be a Lady K?

I knew I had a picture somewhere. On the cycle selector, if you picked one in the top section, you got a cool down, otherwise not. If you selected without a cool down, when it got to that part, the light would go out, the timer would advance quickly beyond that point, the light would go back on...

    Another fab find...

Those are wonderful! Hmmm..could be a general promotion, dishwasher promotion, or maybe even they (or similar ones, as these don't look used), were used in the Whirlpool employee cafeteria (or for meetings, etc) in St. Paul.
