    Hand mixers.

Sarah, I too was intrigued by "knee action" so I did a google search. Look what I found, started by the same member who posted having it in this thread!! Chuck https://www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?30425

What is Your Daily Driver? (Automobile)

I've had my '04 Honda Pilot for almost 4 years now and like it. 2nd and 3rd row seats fold down for hauling capacity, and oh the things we've hauled! Chuck

Question about Pods Detergets Brands ?

In general, I've found pods to be too much "soap" for FL washers and today's economy-minded dishwashers. Lots of service calls for dishwashers because of them- the suds fool the drain system, the plastic "baggie" sometimes doesn't dissolve 100% and clogs the holes in the spray arms, residue on...

Here's our pair. Impressed in the pivot area is ELECTRIC WASHER CLOTHES TONGS. Chuck

    Tried going shopping

I found a very small selection of lids and rings at Walmart, then Ace hardware. I don't do much in the way of canning, but with the success of the tomatoes last year I'm repeating this year. I also do refrigerator pickles but I can re-use cleaned lids for those since they're not processed...

    favorite breakfast

Grits Love 'em, Sarah! On the side with a little butter and freshly-cracked pepper! We have them sometimes instead of hash browns or homefries when having eggs, meat, toast. Since polenta is just yellow cornmeal instead of white, and is always on hand, we sometimes have "yellow grits." Slightly...

    Fountain pump with lights

I also found the pump below that has a light "manifold" for up to 5 lights, but only 2 tube lights can be used (5 LED lights can be hooked up). https://www.wholesalepumps.com/jier-jr-800lv-pump-w-5-light-extension-replace-with-rwjr-800lv-5lext/ There's also this pump with 2 tube lights...

    Fountain pump with lights

On ours, if we replace the pump, the lights go as the old lights are hard-wired to the old pump. On newer pumps, the lights are hooked into the pump for power, but that outlet on the pump can be capped if not using lights. I did find replacement glass covers for tube/finger lights at the link...

    Fountain pump with lights

Hi all, We bought an old fountain base yesterday when picking up the rest of our pagoda roof tiles in ME (don't ask! LOL!). Oddly enough, or not, for those of you who know us, we had a fountain tucked into a dark corner of the driveway for maybe 10 years after rescuing it from the transfer...

    favorite breakfast

I'd agree with "if not better" Eddie! Hey Matt, We used to use Krusteaz but then I got hung up on making my own with the Fannie Farmer recipe. After maybe 20 years of that, I'm done. If you haven't tried Krustaez, you might want to. It's a "just add water crap" mix, but it's really very good...

    favorite breakfast

Not necessarily a favorite, but it's what we wanted this morning. Krustaez buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and applewood smoked bacon. After trying Krustaez again, I'll have a hard time making them from scratch. My fave breakfast meats would probably be hash and sausage. I like bacon and...

Shelter At Home Cooking: Show Us Yours!

Sarah Moulton saying how she had a problem cooking rice I used to watch her and scratch my head because of a lot of the things she'd say/do. I used to say that the "secret" in "Sarah's Secrets" was that she didn't know how to cook! 2:1 here for rice as well. Bring to a boil, set the temp to...

    Prepaid plans

Total Wireless from Walmart We've had them for about 5 years now- $62 for both lines, unlimited talk/text and 5Gb shared data. I think it's $30 or 35 for one line. We've never gone over the data, AND they use the Verizon towers! Even traveling we've had no issues with coverage except for the...

It does pay to comparison shop!

I rarely buy at Napa, Auto Zone, O'Reilly... I've always found them much more expensive. Only when I don't have a choice. Same with Ace Hardware unless it's something on special. I'm all for supporting the little guy, but not when it takes 50% more of my dollars to do it. Chuck

    LeCreuset pot cleaning help

Paul, My dishwasher granules method was assuming you had some stuck-on crud. If that's not the case and it's just discoloration, bleach and water has always worked for me. Chuck

Shelter At Home Cooking: Show Us Yours!

Friday was penne rigate in a light Romano sauce with chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes and basil. Saturday was bbq country-style ribs with 2-tato salad (white and sweet potatoes). Then it was leftovers with and tomatoes and cukes from the garden. Chuck

No More Sales On Paper Towels and Toilet Paper?

Sarah, We use the plastic grocery bags (getting scarce here with local regulations banning them) as liners in the bathroom trash cans... except for the guest bath. Pull up the handles, tie them off and they're ready to go. Maybe you could use a can like that in the kitchen and tie off 1 a day...
