GE LH-110 -- Help! A wire broke off of the compressor

I cannot tell but, Are those two ends of wire what broke? If so, find someone you know that can solder and just have them solder them together and heat shrink it, then start saving up for a complete rewire. I cannot imagine it would be cheap. Wire itself is cheap, but the process is laborious...

    Yellow Cabrio Dryer Door?

I cannot imagine it was factory If you want the yellowing to go away so it looks better when you go to sell it, remove the door and paint some hair bleach paste on it(obtainable form beauty supply shops, eg. Spider Corrosion, And Foul Odors, In Front Load Washers

Another issue is people's fascination with SS tubs, porcelain coated steel tubs had no direct metal to metal contact for many years before the porcelain enamel began to fail. If the tub were all porcelain coated, there would be no metal to metal contact, just metal to porcelain. Were W&WW...

    BD vs DD

Oh, indeed, one definitely has to keep the various options in mind, I simply added that because unlike many solid tub machines from the '50s and '60s, these did get large capacity options, I should add that DDs are large too.

2006 Maytag Quiet Series 100 Top Loading Washing Machine - Need Info

Herrin platform, AKA a "NorgeTag" Not the best washer ever built, it isn't all that bad either. At least it isn't a Goodman platform or "AmanaTag" machine, those are terrible!   The benefits of these models are large capacity, and good wash performance. The downside is that they do not have...
