A word about Uship.  I have used them a lot.  I save all the contact info of the guys I have liked.  When I want something now I start sending them emails.  Uship charges both parties a fee.  You'll get a better deal cutting them out.

Wiring generally fails due to flexing it, rodents or general abuse by previous owners. Leave it alone as other have suggested. You may want a new cord. That is generally the only wires that get flexed and deteriorate.

I suspect you will have to watch ebay like a hawk for a long time.

Good luck in your search. I have never seen one of those in good condition at any price. They're big, the dishwasher apparently wasn't the best so they've gone unused for decades.

GFCI's are a pain.  I had a problem with a GFCI breaker controlling my garage last year.  I finally swapped the breaker for a standard breaker.  No more problems and the garage hasn't burned down yet!
