If the timer cycles during timed dry then the timer should be fine. I’d get your multi meter and see where the power is lost. I would bet the cycle stat or wiring

When gas valves fail the plunger gets stuck or rusty. It won’t open with the coil. They also can not fully close and leak. Some are very noisy when they are open. The gas valve is a somewhat rare failure item. I maybe change a couple every year max. I buy the coils by the case.
