Truly gorgeous What you've been able to achieve is nothing short of outstanding, amazing, and otherwise so impressive. I am excited for what comes next!

    Power Clean Thermal Holds

They were also the most energy efficient pump mechanism ever I find this hard to believe for numerous reasons... starting with the fact that they're no longer being manufactured because of efficiency?

    2005 GE Nautilus dishwasher

never have I ever used a dishwasher that was so noisy and yet couldn't keep stuff on the top rack clean... I think the weird spray tower design was to blame, 4 holes on the perimeter with a 5th on top... what were they thinking!?!?!? and again with the bickering. Does this site have moderation?

*Sigh* More problems with my dishwasher...

if it abruptly stopped like that, makes me think the pump sucked something in like a piece of glass or hard food and just got stuck, maybe you could pull it apart & see if theres just something simple like that? dunno how easy these are to disassemble however.

The Longest Lasting And Most Durable Dishwasher Pump And Motor Ever Made

FWIW the near BOL hotpoint builder grade tower wash ge-based dishwasher with the PSC motor at my rental sounded nothing like our near-TOL point-voyager kitchenaid from 2008 at my parents house. They were both quite a bit louder than their respective replacements, but the hotpoint stands apart as...

    AI in laundry...

color or soil detection is pretty easy? We've had soil figured out on the dishwashing side of things for the better part of 2 decades now (turbidity sensors). color sensing of course I dont believe they've even attempted, but honestly I find separating stuff by color doesn't matter all that...

    AI in laundry...

Oh joy, another rant thread... My take on it. The "AI" is pure marketing. all this is is programming that dynamically adapts wash time & other stuff to the programmed cycle and sensed clothing weight/type. I doubt it is much different than the earlier washers LG has made with the auto-sensing...

New dishwasher detergent dispensers being flooded

Sliding detergent dispensers They don't get blocked by errant plates or large dishes. several times I recall our old point voyagers didn't open fully because it hit a platter or something and then the wash would finish without so much as an attempt to dissolve the full quantity of detergent...

    Tide Tiles

I'd agree. they still retain the PVA binder, which is disappointing. I was thinking these would have been compressed pucks of their powder (hence, tiles) but seems they are little more than a different tide pod.

the liquid and the powder cycle

Powder for hot, liquid for warm/cold is what we do. seems to work fine, not even sure if theres an advantage to either in any case. I do prefer cardboard packaging to the plastic jugs/tubs of course, much better environmentally :)

    New Dishwasher

whirlpool currently has 2 wash platforms, the removable filter model and the clean water wash model. the removable filter one I believe has a variable speed pump though I may be wrong, and is also on kitchenaids lower end models, as of the last time I checked. I don't know if any whirlpool...

    New Dishwasher

you can truly fit an astronomical amount of dishes in these things and everything still comes out clean, its amazing really. the kitchenaid/maytag models are both equipped with the same pump unit, which has some sort of macerating drain pump. the kitchenaid models have a 3rd rack with nozzle...

Point Voyager versus Clean Water Wash

FWIW, that filter issue is caused if you wash items without removing stickers. the stickers partially dissolve but the cellulose fibers dont break down easily, plug the filter, and then that happens. I don't expect that will happen under normal use as long as you're cautious. my previous...

    Finish Ultimate... Anybody tried these?

Have tried both, and many of finishes other tabs. keep going back to cascade powder, nothing else seems to work as well.

new rules will allow only 3.1 gallons to be used to wash each load of dishes.

late by about 8 or 9 years... Alternating wash arms isn't anything new, and I dont think it makes much sense to raise a stink about it. Whirlpools latest generation of dishwashers wash better than the point voyager my family was using for 14 years, and that was what maytags machines were based...

Dish washer Dry/heat problem looking for advice.

Sounds to me just based upon the description that you may have a failed heating element, but I can't be sure without more information.

    Hotpoint HDA3600

I can get a picture when I get back monday, but it's about 3/4 to 1 cm in the bottom of the dishwasher, at the point of the intake screen/grille whatever its called. I don't know if this is normal but I'm inclined to believe it isn't. Several times after the entire cycle is complete this water...

    Hotpoint HDA3600

Ah, I forgot to attach the photos. Heres the outside and inside, and as a bonus one of our 2 ovens, the built-in maytag. It needs a new broiler element but I love the styling and the VFD clock.

    Hotpoint HDA3600

Hi all, Moved into a house for college with some of my friends, and so far the house is pretty awesome. However, our impressions with the dishwasher have been less-than-stellar, and I figured I'd query the wisdom of the members here. this is a very basic dishwasher, so I'm not expecting the...
