Curious, anyone know WHY Westie moved away from the "Program Computer" back to this simpler dial design? Were the buttons and radio style dial too costly and prone to failure? Did it make the Westies too costly compared to the competition? Seems like a step backward in some ways. Thanks! Duane

What are these folks thinking trying to get that kind of price for something in that rough of shape? Just because it is old, doesn't mean it will bring gold!

Isn't the reason Maytags lasted forever is that that they barely moved the load? Little movement = little wear = little maintenance = longer life? To be fair, I've only seen a few Maytags in action and they were 30+ years old. Nowhere NEAR the turnover in our 15 + year old WP built heavy duty...
