I find the most effective way to remove the keys is with a spoon. Then I soak the keys in a weak soap and warm water solution over night, and then let them dry completely. My Apple keyboards with the clear plastic housing need cleaning fairly often since you can see so much more debris.

We have a Beam Serenity Plus, and my grandparents have a Eureka. They're pretty much equal in performance. Having a hose connection in the garage (the power unit is in the laundry room) makes vacuuming the car simple.

What did the "load sensor" agitator in Maytag dependable care machines actually do? Was there any sensing of the load occurring at all? A relative has had one such machine since it was new in 1997 and I never thought to wonder about this name until I used it last weekend.

A largish microwave? Are we talking like a radarange size? We have lots of closets, and I don't think anyone would notice the adapter on the faucet. Plus if it's too heavy to move about 30 ft across the apartment I don't want to deal with it. Maybe a semi-permenant install underneath the sink...
