Range Hood From my experience, nothing but nothing beats a Vent-a-Hood. I attended the factory training at the Vent-A-Hood factory in Texas. They had a working display set up with the most popular brands. Believe me, nothing out preforms a Vent-A-Hood I saw it with my own eyes! Very nice...

    70's Mystery Range Needs Solving

Gibson Appliances I had a Gibson top of the line range in fact I sold a lot of Gibson ranges. Very few problems and baked like a charm. Had a rotisserie in the oven and completely enjoyed that. There was nothing wrong with Gibson ranges. People seem to want to always put down WCI products...

    Pilot lights on commercial range

Gas Pilots From a former salespersons perspective....I read somewhere that on a range with pilots over the life of that range, 1/3 of the gas it burns, is for the pilots. When I was growing up, we always kept the crackers in the oven to keep them fresh....that is till someone turned the oven...

The Norge Automatic Washer Pro/Con Thread

Norge aka Magic Chef In the 80's sold a number of Magic Chef Laundry pairs. There was a lot to talk about when selling. The motor was 3/4 HP at that time. When you showed a customer the tub......well nothing else was close. At that time you could say it was a company owned by Maytag. They...

Windfresh Powdered Detergent from Sam's Club

Windfresh from Sams Club I can't tell you what it has in it. I know I am satsified with our laundry and like the fact I don't need much and it doesn't suds up too much. I have always preferred powdered detergent. Menards also carries Sun in pails which may or may not be the same thing. It...

Windfresh Powdered Detergent from Sam's Club

Windfresh from Sams Club I have been using Windfresh for a long long time going back to the day it came in a larger round pail. I recently tried the Costco Kirkland HE and believe it is the same product. The pail is identical as well as the manufactures markings on the pail. I believe these...

    1960s/70s RCA Whirlpool Upright Freezer

Vintage Freezer At the price of meat today I would be wary of loading it up without checking it daily and having a place to put that meat if and when something happens. Over the years I have had contact with many folks this has happened to. The amount of loss can be substantial.
