sometimes the water passages in the bowl can be compromised due to mineral deposits. make sure the bowl-cleaning holes (under the rim) and the main washdown jet are working at full capacity. sometimes pouring an anti-mineral cleanser down thru the reservoir's outlet full strength, and letting it...

likely the bearing is worn. fortunately the blade is less than 20 bucks and is available on Amazon and eBay and WM. the new "ice chopping" blade is an improvement. and the new gaskets are nice too.
