Heads Up Lads! Maytag A50 Twin Tub

I have one just like it! Except I've only used it about 3 times since I had it. I'll gladly sell it for less than that auction to someone who wants to buy it. I am pretty hard up for cash these days, and my truck needs brake work. NorfolkSouthern

    Kenmore top-load roto-rack

Too bad you could't save the detergent dispenser. The one on mine is different, so it probably wouldn't have worked anyway. It never ceases to amaze me how dumb and wasteful people are, scrapping something that's worth keeping, yet saving a 3 year old pile of trash. NorfolkSouthern

You Know its getting well into the 21st Century

You could probably fit the pieces back together with CA glue. It can be purchased at any hobby shop. People routinely us it to build model airplanes, so it shouldn't be a problem with plastic parts. NorfolkSouthern

How about a new coppertone Lady-K Roto-Rack dishwasher?

Seller mentions that it has no issues, says "let's make a deal". But of course, he didn't forget to leave his contact number. So here it is, folks. Ya better go grab it before my truck gets fixed! NorfolkSouthern On none other than Craigslist, of course...

    Re: The craigslist Frigidaire washer

That brown rubber ring is definitely the boot from a front load washer. Which brand, I'm not sure but I'm betting on a Westinghouse. NorfolkSouthern

1972 Hotpoint dishwasher in San Diego, never used!

Rollermatic: Yes indeed, this one cleaned up so nicely! Selling will depend on what I'm able to find in the near future, but it is a very distinct possibility. Space is a bit limited, and I always need more room so I can rescue other great appliances. It is encouraging that I have a couple...

Yet Another BD Whirlpool Portable Query

Parts are extremely rare for these machines! I am really sorry for all your troubles with the BD Whirlpool, Laundress. And I am hoping you can get it fixed. I think the oil would give me some concerns, but I can't say absolutely how I would solve the problem. Or, even know where to get another...

    NOS Whirlpool Pump Anyone?

The multi-grooved pulley Save that, as the belt on these Whirlpool portables are multi-grooved. When the technician takes off the cabinet, take a look at the belt and you'll see what I mean. It looks just like the serpentine belt in a car's engine compartment. By the way, I would keep both...

    Metal twin-tub Hoovers?

Thanks Well, I don't see any pumps there that look like the one in mine. But, you do have a black tub drain hose that I could use. The one I have doesn't leak that I know of, but it does look like it's getting a little fragile. The drain hose to the sink seems to be in OK condition, but one of...

    Metal twin-tub Hoovers?

Got the pump apart last night What's happening, is that the O ring between the lower pump body and valve cup is not forming a seal. The valve works fine. Also, the impeller turns freely. I did take a look at macboy91's link, and can see that the pump can be completely dissasembled. So, I will...

    Metal twin-tub Hoovers?

The spinner You can see the rubber piece that goes over the cloths during the spin on the left, along with a partial shot of the owner's manual. I will send a more detailed shot of that as soon as I get the chance.

    Metal twin-tub Hoovers?

It's definitely the pump Well, I got the thing apart, cleaned it up, got it to turn, then lubed the rubber O ring with petro jelly. That didn't work. So, I suppose I could try the silicon rubber trick to see if that will do the trick. Here's a shot of the engine compartment from the bottom. As...
