A question about Wash scent boosters

I’m not a huge fan of these products although like many when they first came out, I bought a few different ones to try. I found them just too strong in washed clothing and left the load feeling very rough and ‘clogged up’ if that makes sense. I thought I liked strong scents on laundry but that...

Need more knowledge on this washer

I had a Hitachi with a full size agi that was from this era of Japanese produced machines. It certainly liked to knot things up despite the agitator. As you will see the agitation was quite fast. It wasn’t the best washer I’ve used but interesting none the less. I currently have a twin tub by...

New Fisher & Paykel Front-load Washer and Condensing Dryer

These are fantastic machines. I have had a set of these for a few years now and they are just great. Great water levels and the heater maintains the temp right through the cycle. I don’t know if these are programmed different for the American market but all will remain to be seen if anyone gets...

Do you collectors have any YouTube channels?

I have a YouTube channel that's documented a lot of washers I have encountered over my time :-) Enjoy! Matt (Mattie17) http://https//www.youtube.com/user/mattie17

Unique Vintage Lightburn Twin Tub on Aussie EBay

I think these machines are so unique and interesting :-) I wanted to document this listing for the archives and also make any Aussies aware that this is up for grabs. It's not in my state sadly. Regards Matt http://https//www.ebay.com.au/itm/182605807034

    Frigidaire T/L Agitator Replacement Help

Toploader55 One does wonder. It came from a share house made up of tradesmen. Perhaps they tried to wash steel cap boots or tools in there lol!

    Frigidaire T/L Agitator Replacement Help

Hi All My fellow Perth washer enthusiast Eliot has recently acquired a Frigidaire top loader washer. Unfortunately it has two broken fins on the agitator and he is curious about how to replace it. Also what agitator would be the correct one to get. We seem to be able to find some Frigidaire...

Great to know it is still impressing you :-) I have tried a variety of detergent in mine and it still performs well enough regardless :-) Merry Christmas! Matt

    RIP my LG Turbodrum

Hi Steve! Great to hear you are liking your new machine thus far :-) I use both liquid and powder detergents in my machine and find they both work quite well. Liquid does tend to encourage more suds locking although it's all a matter of dosage. I use the Cold Power Sensitive liquid for my...

    RIP my LG Turbodrum

Great news :-) I'll be interested to hear how you like them both :-)

    RIP my LG Turbodrum

Sorry for your loss. She certainly served you well :-) I have the Fisher and Paykel 7.5kg front load and it's brilliant. It does take its time to balance for spin but so do all front loaders these days seemingly. It uses a LOT of water to rinse in, halfway up the door! Wash times are perfectly...

    Henkel buys Aussie C/P

Hi Guys I've noticed today that the new Henkel branded Cold Power and Dynamo products have hit our shelves. They have reformulated the liquids and powders and introduced Cold Power Dual Caps which look identical to Henkel made Persil Caps. It will be interesting to see if they bring anything...

How many loads of laundry do you do per week?

For me and my other half I do between 3 and 5 loads a week depending on what my work roster is like. I sometimes save up all the washing except bedding and towels and wash it over a couple of days every month. We have enough clothes to last a month or so. It just depends how busy we are because...

Son who loves washers and dryers

Reading this has done my heart good. I WISH my mother had been as supportive as you Debbie. Sadly mine saw it as something that would bring embarrassment on the family and did everything she could to stop me engaging in the hobby. Over the years she has softened towards it but still won't...

Time for a new dryer in Melbourne

I have one of the Fisher and Paykel AeroCare 8kg Condensor dryers. I find it a fantastic machine, has a wide range of programs and dry temperatures so you can adapt the cycle to your liking. It dries perfectly every time, looks awesome and holds a huge amount of washing. That's my...

Welcome Intro & Hoover Twinnie :D

Hi Adam :-) Nice to see another Aussie on here :-) I have one of the Hoover Twin Tubs you have only in the brown/orange colour scheme. It was needing a new wash belt and drain hose when I got it and after I replaced those it's been fantastic :-) Welcome! Matt

Urgent! Save a Kenwood A1212 in Switzlerland

This machine was truly a beauty to watch in action earlier this year :-) Very dramatic wash action with the impeller but with a long silent heating period prior. Definately a keeper if anymore like this pop up :-) Matt

A Vintage AEG, Miele, Aristella and Hotpoint Amethyst mini meet.

Looks like an awesome day :-) I had a fantastic weekend at 'Al's Emporium' when I visited a couple of months ago. Everyone was so warm and welcoming as always :-) Matt
