I bought myself an LG Steam 9kg 1400rpm machine as a gift to myself when my 2nd son was born. I can confirm it was excellent for stain removal without additional stain removers and was great for sanitising at 40degrees for items that couldn't be washed hotter. Darren

Surely in 2014 and in an age of Eco driven products a heater is essential for precise temperatures with no risk of choosing "too high" a temperature for example?! Darren

Hi Louis, Yes I guessed the same. I've always had a soft spot for philips/whirlpool machines! Yes the distribution drain will be 120rpm as opposed to 400rpm on the old philips :-( I'm itching get home and tinker with it again Darren

Mr King has one at home and will be able to tell the ins and outs but I understand from him that the reason it's been so effective as the 4 rinses are heated after a long 60deg Id say that's pretty good! Even more so as it's not made by merloni! Darren
